What is BLUEDU about?
BLUEDU provides VET teachers with the tools necessary to comprehend, study and finally understand blockchain technology. This is necessary as we live in a world that has implemented this technology practically in all areas and therefore tomorrow's workers will need to have extensive knowledge of this technology.
To achieve this, it is important understand the educational barriers to including blockchain technology in ICT VET curricula at local and European level, as well as gain experience and knowledge about the blockchain educational ecosystem and best practices in the participating countries and in Europe. As such, the blockchain-related knowledge and needs of VET educators are analysed.
The resulting teaching outline constitutes the baseline for the main titles and content for the teaching materials. This is complemented with the creation of an interactive e-book on blockchain technologies including subject areas in various topics (Internet technologies and related cutting-edge technologies, terms in blockchain, blockchain technology, blockchain technology in education, recommendations for the use of blockchain technology) for VET educators. A sample of VET teachers are engaged to validate the interactive module-based e-book, which you can find on the project website.
